Life is change.
If you haven’t noticed as of yet, health care is changing at an unpredictable pace that we have never seen before. Physical therapy is now intergrading manipulation into their profession as a main part of their treatments.
In fact, the majority of physical therapy schools are awarding Doctorate degrees to position the P.T. along side the chiropractor. The P.T. is already aligned with the medical establishment and if we as chiropractors don’t wake up we may be on the outside looking in.
Massage therapist are branching in to “soft tissue manipulation” techniques. More and more alternative therapists are beginning to pop up all over the country.
What does this mean to our profession?
Nothing, if you take the correct measures to protect yourself from these fringe practitioners from chipping away at your market share. Piece by piece your practice is being taken away by people who have half the education that you posses.
Our profession is changing and just like the music industry losing the album, the cassette tape and other over the counter sales, we need to adapt to these changes. In both cases a new technology came into play and caused virtual extinction.
The way health care is developing its time to become more of a soft tissue expert.
The field of MFDT is new, exciting and virtually
stands alone in terms of results. Imagine the ability to treat people that you had to turn away before. Then imagine those people being so excited about their results that they can not help but become
your best salesperson.
The possibilities that open out to you are incredible.

58 year old male with plantar fasciitis. Fastest relief of any treatment used prior. In fact during a presentation regarding the treatment to a group of small business owners he had to tell another business owner that it was his personal experience. The other business owner who had previously had plantar fasciitis said that it was unethical for me to make such a wild claim that plantar fasciitis could be controlled within a matter of a few minutes, because in his past the physical therapist handling his plantar fasciitis took 2 years to resolve the condition. Thought you might want to hear the success of one of the new guys using this.

I use the technique on most of my patients. It has been terrific! Getting better results than I've ever had prior to using it. I have patients driving long distances (ie. 60, 57, 45 miles) to get this technique. And I'm enjoying practice more because of the immediate results this technique uniquely provides. One of my Rotary friends, who owns the company that supplies more valves to oil refineries than any other company in the world, drives 45 miles to my office. He's been to 4 other chiropractors on his side of town. He told me he had more relief after his first visit with me than any of the other DC's could give him after many treatments. He has referred 2 patients saying, "I couldn't get relief on my side of town. I finally found a chiropractor that really knows what he's doing." This is after I fixed his lower back (which is what he initially came in for) and his neck, right shoulder and left foot. These secondary problems had been chronic for years and his shoulder for most of his life. It's really been a great advancement for chiropractic care!
Dr. Steve Harris, Sugarland, Texas.
A 73 year old women fell from bicycle with the handle bars coming up between her legs. ROM was normal. No paresthesia. No knee pain or hip pain. Sharp pain the would occasionally come on if walking. She would have to stop for a moment or possibly fall. The thigh laterally and anterior would ache. Apparently when she fell the handle bars twisted her hip in an up and out direction. Treatment consisted of manipulation of the low back with traction disruption and internal rotation of the leg which provided immediate results. The sharp pain completely went away the ache resolved after two other treatments with some superficial disruption added for good measure. She was completely amazed at the quick results.
Dr. Mike Keenan, Bonita Springs, FloridaBe able to go through all of your files and recall all of your past patients suffering with chronic pain and or disability and tell them that you have a new treatment that can help them. That alone can pay for your seminar ten times over.
Now with a new treatment protocol you will become the area expert for soft tissue injury and rehabilitation.
